Technobutter 3 neoprene: O'Neill exclusive new neoprene that is 20% lighter and 30% less water absorbent. Feathered ENVY foam core that provides ultimate flexibility, warmth and comfort - designed to last for many years. Combined with Technobutter TB3X pre-stretched neoprene in the shoulder panel and sleeves, this is the lightest, most flexible and softest neoprene material ever produced.'
TB3X Fully Taped Seams: The lightest and most stretchable tape technology ever. It works so that 0.5mm neoprene panels are applied on top of the adhesives. This ensures minimal water penetration, maximum flexibility and wear resistance.
Critically Taped Seams: Reinforced joints for increased durability
Glued & Blindstitched Seams: A technology used for high-performance wetsuits. It works so that the stitching only partially goes through the neoprene. Next, all seams are glued to reduce water ingress, after which all seams exposed to a lot of pressure are taped. O'Neill uses Flexloc stitching, which is both stronger and more flexible compared to traditional blindstitch. Should the thread come undone, the assembly will still be intact.
FUZE Closure (Front Upper Zip Entry): A unique closure system with a "floating" zipper that ensures maximum mobility and the suit is easy to put on and take off. The FUZE system is made with a 360 degree anti-flush barrier, three drainage holes that keep the water out and the body dry.
Double Super Seal Neck: A 2-layer construction with soft Glideskin material in the neck closure. Ensures maximum comfort, durability and waterproofness.
Minimal Seam Design: Larger panels with fewer seams and joints, it provides an ultimate and ergonomic fit.
Strategic Seamless Paddle Zones: Ergonomically correct panel without seams and joints under the arms. This reduces rashes, increases comfort and provides maximum comfort where you need it most.
Sidewinder S-Curve Seams: Anatomically placed seams for maximum comfort, shaped like an S so the joints can stretch with the neoprene for ultimate mobility.
Krypto Knee Padz: Durable neoprene panel with high stretchability and ergonomic design on the knees. Provides increased comfort and durability
'Wetsuit of the Year' award: Winner of the SIMA (Surf Industry Manufactorers Association) award "Wetsuit of the Year" 2019
History of the brand:
O'Neill has been producing wetsuits for more than 65 years, and is today known as the leading wetsuit brand in the world. O'Neill was founded by Jack O'Neill. Jack was a pioneer in surfing and in 1952 opened the world's first surf shop in San Francisco, California. California is known for its high quality waves. What many do not think about is that the water temperature drops to 0 degrees Celsius in the winter months. This gave Jack the opportunity to produce the world's first wetsuit so he could surf all year round – and O'Neill was born. Since the beginning, O'Neill has had a strong focus on innovative solutions, quality, durability, performance and design. The products are produced at the AREA 52 factory and developed and tested in collaboration with some of the world's best surfers, including Jordy Smith, Cory Lopez and Tim Reyes. Since 1998, O'Neill has exclusively used sustainable Limestone neoprene, and has since implemented several sustainable materials such as Eco Carbon Black rubber, which is recycled from used car tires, Aqua Alpha water-based glue and Dope-Dyed yarn which saves enormous amounts of water and energy and reduces pollution of waste water.
