Neilpryde has produced this Cortex wetsuit with Yamamoto neoprene, which gives a clear win win effect on the environment and your experience on the water. Yamamoto neoprene is extracted from limestone, which creates a completely unique cell structure in the neoprene. This means that it sits closer to the body, thereby providing maximum heat generation and buoyancy. This type of neoprene is made from limestone, where traditionally neoprene is oil-based, it is therefore an environmental advantage to use Yamamoto neoprene. The Hotcell 2 technology from Neilpryde provides a fast-drying polypropylene insulation due to the unique cellular structure. Here, the wetsuit's inner membrane collects a layer of warm water next to the skin, which helps to keep the body's core temperature up. The outer layer of the neoprene is produced in a material that makes it feel silky smooth. Extra spandex has been added to this outer layer to provide even greater flexibility in the wetsuit than before. The neoprene in the stomach region is constructed as an extremely compressed rubber structure, which ensures that the heat remains in the suit, as well as providing a wind-repellent effect. The wetsuit is constructed with Neilpryde's "Armortex Kneepads". This increases the protection around the knee, while of course you do not compromise on flexibility due to the 4-way stretch of the neoprene.
