North prime an all-round twintip, with its rounded shape for a super user-friendly freeride / progression board. The bottom of the board has a light and simple concave and a continuous rocker. Which means that Prime is particularly well suited as a freeride board, where comfort and ease of use are the most important.
The board has a light weight of less than 3 kg and both beginners and intermediate kiters will appreciate this. Prime's edge grip is not as locked as North's Atmos model. In return, you get an edge grip that is looser and therefore also easier to control and a board that easily cuts through the chop. When it comes to load and pop, experienced freestylers will notice the soft flex pattern, while newer freeride kiters will experience enough stiffness to load the board and an easy release for their first big jumps. The shape of the board makes this board super fun and easy for transitions, as well as surfing toeside. The board can be used in all kinds of conditions, and is so good that all kitesurfers, regardless of level, can have fun with it, so whether you are a beginner or an intermediate freeride cruiser, the North Prime is for you.

DYNAMIC FLEX
The flex characteristic of every TwinTip Board is determined by multiple features built into each specific design. Core thickness variations and taper, as well as detailing, longitudinally and laterally, play the most significant role in controlling the overall flex and feel. Board specific laminate layups then allow us to further fine tune the flex and board characteristics. We adjust the stiffness lengthwise and torsionally in conjunction with the rocker line, plan shape view and profile of the board, to give each board its specific performance characteristics.

Paulownia is a highly renewable hardwood species, with one of the highest strength to weight ratios. Ultra-lightweight, with a high shear force and high impact resistance, Paulownia wood forms a non-toxic core which significantly displaces the amount of foam or resin used in manufacturing, thereby reducing carbon emissions. Each board has a customized core thickness individually fine-tuned to ensure its characteristics are consistent throughout the range, no matter your size or weight.
