All of our wool products thrive well in the machine, as long as you pay attention to the following:.

1) Select the wool program for gentle washing.
2) Use a mild wool detergent that contains lanolin, which protects the wool fibers.
3) Set a low temperature (approx. 30°C) to protect the wool fibres.
4) Avoid spinning to maintain the shape of the clothes.
5) Avoid bleaches and fabric softeners as they can damage the wool.

After washing, lay the product flat on a towel and let it dry at room temperature, away from sunlight or hot radiators.

Don't be fooled by
the washing instructions in our clothes.

The correct sign is 30 degrees with two lines underneath, which means machine wash wool at 30 degrees.
Our experience shows that many people read this as 30-degree washing, which can damage a wool product.

That's why we often indicate a product with "hand wash only" in our care label.

However, this is a bit of a caveat because washing machines from the past didn't have as many washing programs. Today, most machines have a wool program or, in fact, the machine does the job better than hand washing.

Air out wool and save on laundry.
Wool is more resistant to dirt than other types of fabric and therefore does not get dirty as quickly as, for example, cotton or synthetics. Wool contains the natural fat called lanolin. Lanolin is a fat that helps the sheep to withstand rain. In the same way, it makes it difficult for dirt and odors to penetrate the wool fibers. Therefore, dirt and odors do not need to be rinsed out as with cotton or synthetics. Therefore, wool is "self-cleaning," and it is often better to air a wool product rather than wash it, for the benefit of your economy, the environment and the product.
