The story
The sandpiper is known for its long migrations, where it spends the summer on the arctic tundra, before it apparently realizes that it is freezing cold. Then it flees south along the coasts of Europe, while the most cold-hearted sand runners make the trip all the way to South Africa.
Here, a sand runner is seen immediately after it has landed in southern Spain and immediately before it has drunk its first sangria. #vivalaevolution
