Description
The Sjø Protection Helmet is an advanced surf helmet developed by surfers for surfers - now with a prototype for extra ear protection. The helmet combines maximum safety with low weight and high comfort, so you almost forget you're wearing it. Designed for kiteboarding, surfing, wingfoil, and SUP, the helmet provides effective protection against impacts, blows, and sharp objects in the water.
The unique construction with SAS-Tec viscoelastic foam shapes itself to the head and hardens upon impact, ensuring optimal shock absorption. The outer shell is reinforced with Kevlar - the same material used in bulletproof vests - protecting against fins, stones, reefs, and foils. With its hydrodynamic low-profile, the helmet avoids the "bucket effect" and sits close to the head without catching water. Meanwhile, the Adaptive Fit system provides a perfect fit, reminiscent of memory foam.
The lightweight construction of only 275 grams, combined with a magnetic Fidlock buckle and effective ventilation, makes the helmet comfortable even for long sessions. The Sjø Protection Helmet is tested to exceed the EN 1385 safety standard for water sports helmets by 40-60%. It is created by surfers who themselves have experienced the consequences of head injuries - designed to give you maximum security without compromising freedom and performance on the water.
