The story
Blue whales are among the loudest animals on the planet, and under ideal conditions can communicate with each other at distances of up to 1,500 km. However, the fate of the blue whale on this design was that it had lost its voice after a bad game, creaking its throat… get it? Anyway… to compensate for its lack of voice, it had instead developed a rather unique way of communicating. It started to fire up its pipe, and pulse smoke signals out through the blow hole. The technique became extremely popular among other whales, and it is the primary reason why it is very cloudy in the Azores in April.Product information
