This print is inspired by the historic plants here in the region, namely the porsen. Or to be more precise: Mosespors aka. Myrica Gale. An important plant used here in the north for over 2000 years, both for brewing beer and mead instead of hops. But also used extensively by the people of the time for purely practical purposes in the household. The porsen was added to the bedding to keep fleas and lice away. The plant also contains antibacterial substances, which meant that it was often used to treat inflammation and wounds.
