The Pathos Alma Open is more "bare" than a beginner harpoon
Alma Closed is Greek Pathos' take on a really good beginner's harpoon. But in fact it is of such high quality that many seasoned UV hunters also use it. The Alma Open harpoon comes with elastics and spears of the same high quality as the Laser series.
High quality and stable performance with a very accurate shot
With a relatively thin spear of 6.25 mm and a good strong 17.5 mm elastic, you get a surprisingly fast harpoon with a very precise shot. You can easily get your hands on the fast fish when you move along rocky reefs and the seabed. The harpoon is particularly suitable for hunting on reefs and along sandy bottoms.
Really good aim and ergonomic low-profile handle - make the harpoon comfortable, maneuverable and beginner-friendly
The harpoon's tube is made of aluminum and has a thickness of 1.25 mm. With the open muzzle, you get an unobstructed view, so you can quickly get your prey in sight. The ergonomic low profile handle D'Angelo I with "reverse" trigger extends the harpoon by 7 cm. The high position of the scoop makes it incredibly natural and intuitive to shoot with, and it fits very well in the hand.
Stable firing provides a more accurate shot
Alma Open comes with a nice Sandvik spear with single flopper and tri-cut tip. It comes with a 17.5 mm elastic with articulated wishbone. Sandvik spears are known for moving very stably after firing, where you may well experience that other spears 'dance' a bit on their way to the prey. You can therefore count on the spear ending up exactly where you intended.
